Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Profile
Gareth Lloyd is a medical negligence lawyer with years of experience under his belt. He has settled claims for millions of pounds and has excellent knowledge and experience in all types of cases, from surgical errors to birth injuries.
Key Career Achievements
I settled a medical negligence matter involving the mismanagement of a post-operative infection following eye surgery which resulted in the client becoming completely blind. The matter settled for approximately £2 million.
In another case, I settled a clinical negligence matter involving the preventable suicide of an adult. The case was brought by the client’s mum and as a consequence, the case was brought under the Human Rights Act. This enabled the mother to be awarded a sum of compensation similar to that of a bereavement award under the Fatal Accident Act.
More About Gareth
For the best part of the last 15 years, I have organised a charity cricket day to raise money for Zoe’s Place which is a children’s hospice in Liverpool which does brilliant and much-needed work with children with life-limiting illnesses and conditions.
During this time the day has grown from a small event that a few people attended to an event now that typically attracts a few hundred people. More importantly during this time, well over £35,000 has been raised for Zoe’s Place.
